ACTIVITIES

Performances:
Produce 3 fully-staged opera performances each season featuring artists and directors from around the country, the Nevada Opera Orchestra and Chorus, production crews and extras!

Training:
Nevada Opera has a reputation for launching young artists. Dolora Zajick, the world's reigning dramatic mezzo-soprano, is the most notable. Evelyn De La Rosa, John Ames, Monica Harte and John Baril also began their careers in Reno. We continue to develop young talent. Keep your eyes on Suzette Thoeni, Brianna Block and Michael Borowitz.

Outreach:
The Nevada Opera Youth Chours offers voice training to students ain 3rd throuht 8th grades - one of them is sure to be our next rising star.

Education:
Viva Kids! allows at-risk students to develop their creativity and expression as they write and perform their own operas with the guidance of their school teachers.
